£600 - £650 Gaming Spec

Yet another spec me up. I've got a friend who's after a gaming rig that can play most recent games at resolutions no higher than 1280x1024 (He plays a lot of CSS). He already has a nice TFT and mouse/keyboard etc so no need for that, he would also like AMD (Dual core maybe?) and isn't too bothered about whether he has nVidia or ATI. I would do it myself but I seem to go completely overboard :p

This might do, to go dual core with this basic specification puts it at ~£680 so to lower the Ram to 1gb would allow it to be done but I think the 2gb will be more beneficial.
