Hi all,
I've had my old e6600, 8800GTX system for a few years now and it's starting to feel it's age a little so I think it's about time for an upgrade.
Ideally I am looking to spend around £600 or 700 at a push.
I don't need keyboard, mouse, monitors or boot drive (will keep my Raptor X for now) but need pretty much a complete base unit upgrade other than that including optical drive and some kind of apps/storage drive (1Tb or thereabouts).
I'd prefer a dust-resistant case as we have two fur-shedding dogs and a cat.
One query I have is that my current system has an X-Fi Fatal1ty with the front 5 1/4" panel. I can carry it across to the new system or would the built in HD sound on most mobos be sufficient? I'm not really an audiophile, just a casual gamer/movie watcher.
Thanks in advance.
