My Hyundai A321 spat back a refund (dodgy DVI), so I'm looking for a similarly priced 32" LCD TV. Doesn't need ID, although it'd be nice if it does. I want at least 1 HDCP-DVI or HDMI connector, plus a VGA for the XBOX360. Component and SCART too for attaching a digibox and the like.

Good black levels are a priority, any suggestions? I loved the A321 but would've appreciated more control and a 1:1 pixel mapping option.

Also, do people rate the Toshiba 32WL66? The Viewsonic N3260W? I hear a lot of goodness about the Samsungs and LGs, but which ones?

I think I've made up my own mind...the Toshiba wins. 2xHDMI and ID, plus I just witnessed the 37" version and it was stunning. £750 all in too (for the 32"). Didn't quite have the black levels of the Sonys, but the clarity seemed to outclass the LG and Samsungs. They were all on a HDMI feed...the Samsung looked particularly terrible (the LE32R41RB), given how highly its rated I think something must've been awry there.

I'm going to be using it for the HTPC, 360 and TV use...DVDs through the HTPC. I'm too impatient to wait, after having my A321 torn away from me I'm jumpy and need a 32"er back!

edit: I've confused the 32WL66 and the 32WLT66...the difference is the ID, and some think there is also some difference in image processing. The WLT is an extra £300ish...so at the moment I plan on the 32WL66.

I moved onto a LE32R73BDX for £729, although that particular deal has now ended. I was dead-set on the Toshiba for a while, but the exaggerated image trailing and image waxiness put me off (before I heard of VGA 1024x768 limitation [which some dispute])...the Samsung does 1:1 through VGA. The ID is very nice for upscaled and the black levels are better than the A321 (dynamic contrast off).

Bad points? 1 dead pixel (pink) and the SCART inputs could be better.

I got halfway through my speil before realising the question was aimed at me, thought it was quite a coincidence that someone else was looking at the same return and prospective screens  :p

The Q321 isn't without issue, but I did enjoy the A321 whilst I had it. The ID on the Q321 is a bit poorly designed and there's a problem with the subtitles always defaulting to on...for £600 I assume you're talking about the Marantz and not the Hyundai?

Ok, good to hear there's been progress there...the only thing I'd add is about the VGA connection...it was nice and clear but took a lot of tweaking to get 1:1, the Samsung jumps straight into it. They sorted that out?
