£600-£750 Laptop/Notebook - Some help please

Hello Dave, cheers for the shout.

I've only just saw the 'Higher Education' link (which I can't get on as I'm at home) - what is the cut, off the MacBooks when in the Further Education store? Any idea?

The price you've stated there for the base MacBook, is the price without the V.A.T - which would be nice.

In saying that, I could again pretty much rule out gaming - just as well, as the hard drive is 5200rpm.

I would nearly sacrifice the gaming for the MacBook build quality and ability to use OS X.

On one of the reviews it says that the screen is 'poorer than average' and that it wasn't an amazing deal for the money - I found it a bit surprising that Zepto would put the review on their website as a third party one.

On another note, is the 'Further Education' discount for Macs, just for people in University?

that screen is the old Matte screen which zepto dont use anymore (I actually liked it) They now use glossy screens because its what most notebook buyers want.

very happy with my zepto, just remember to contact the Danish HQ with your questions as their Uk office dont know their backside from their elbow.

also battery life of 1.5 hours is for gaming for idling its closer to 3

I use my zepto to play BF2 and BF2142, which it does very well

Either way, will have to get 'a laptop' ordered this week if it's to arrive for the Christmas.

I think I might just go ahead and order the MacBook - as much as I'd like to game on my laptop. I think the MacBook's build quality and overall package - is the much better option.

if its the Trustedreviews review then it is based on the matte screen
