£600 - £750 PC build

Hello,
My friend wants to get into PC gaming becuase he really wants better graphics (who can blame him ) and he was going to build it from scratch with some input from me (if needed).
He would like it to be around £600 - £750 in costs - including OS but not a monitor, keyboard and mouse.

but would skylake be better than going for a 4th generation cpu?

But you wont stay within the budget unless you drop to a weaker gfx card or do without the SSD going with a 6600K setup.

An i5 4690K is still a very capable CPU.

Ok thanks for the info, my friend has now sorted what he wants, he's pushed his budget a little higher and gone for the i5 6600k bundle

He will also need DDR4 and a cooler.

Yeah he's just getting 8gb of teamgroup elite 2400mhz and a cooler master 212 evo ( I think that's what it's called )

He has managed to get an old case off a neighbour and it fits I think
