£600 Budget for an upgrade.

Well ive fallen being times on the hardware front, things are just coming out so quickly and I dont know where to look anymore. I want to upgrade my machine and bullet proof it for games to come out this year, my budget is £600.

At the moment i have; Q6600, 280GTX, 4GB DDR2, P35 Mobo, Corsair 750 Watt.

I have a Q6600 (@ 3.3GHz) and a 4870 1GB, and to be honest I'd be pretty gutted if I found myself needing to upgrade before the end of the year to play new games at high settings.

If I were you (and I am in the sense of having quite a similar rig!) I'd just keep saving up until your current hardware actually struggles in some game or another.

Depends what resolution you game at, though, I suppose (I use 1680x1050).
 
Yeah theres not much out better, the 285 is merely a refined version, slightly tweaked but not worth an upgrade, the 295 is better but still not worth it, hold onto it for now, you could always add another and SLi if needed. though as strumpusplunket said do you really need to upgrade? or you just wanting to?
