hi my friend wants to build a new pc and he got a budget of £600 hes got monitor, speakers keyboard and mouse.

he wants the Q6600 Go Cpu in it :D

he will be using it for gamming
 
Maybe something like this, GT and Q6600 in there. So it will be v.good!

The above looks good to me, only change perhaps is if the budget is very important then you could buy the retail CPU for a couple of pounds more and do away with the Scythe but accept you won't be able to overclock as far. :)

I'd go with that, I have a similar spec and it runs brilliantly.

Got the cpu sitting happily at 3ghz at only 40 degrees so I'm sure I could push it harder.
