Hi

My cousin has asked for a new PC build. His spend is upto £600. Less is better apparently :p

Any recommendations for parts? PC will be used for generic surfing, work in MS office and watching films.

However, 1 key element is quiet....

The athlon doesn't have an IGP. So it would need a discrete GPU or just use the A6/A8 APU which does have the IGP

Could up it to the A10K which has a better IGP. This will do everything asked of it in the brief, note the bluray drive for movies

The great thing about the Trinity is the integrated GPU with the CPU (APU). You need fast RAM but can run the likes of BF3, Crysis, Skyrim on med-ish settings.
