I did have a thread in the CPU section regarding the choice between

AMD 8320/50 and i5 2500k/3570/4670 and 4690k

I have £600 tops, I can't even go over by £1.

I'm going to be playing on a 1080p Monitor for the best part of 6months until I move to 1200/1440p

I have a case but it is microatx so it only has 4 slots.

I have

Keyboard, mouse, dvd drive, speakers and OS (Still have a code to use from a 3 pack but it's only windows 7 home premium and I'm not sure the jump between 7 and 8.1)

Games I'll be playing are mostly single player like skyrim with heavy mods, the witcher 3, as any multi player games will be on the xbox one.

So far I've found these at the prices shown... but I'm still not sure whether to settle for a lower spec CPU for a higher GPU within reason.

4790k
MSI Z87M-Gaming Intel LGA1150 Z87 Micro-ATX
Corsair CML8GX3M2A1600C9 Vengeance Low Profile 8GB

so far that's £329.

I'll need an SSD for the OS

I have 2 sata drives spare though.

Yes a PSU but I'm not sure what wattage as this will always be a single GPU build due to the case/mobo

I can't discuss pricing else ware as this is against the rules.

I would go with the 4690k cpu (if you could stretch then the 4790k) no point going with older tech, also I think the Z97 boards have a slight upgrade path.

Comes with Hyperthreading (8 threads 4 cores) is faster in certain applications.

3gb will be fine.
