I'm on the lookout for a new monitor, and I've not bought a new one in probably 15+ years, so pretty out of touch, and need a hand looking for a new one, please!

I'm currently using 3 Dell 22" from work, as I now work from home permanently. They are pretty basic and not good for gaming at all. I'd like to replace one with the new one, and just keep the other two for when I've got a lot of work stuff going on.

I would like to upgrade to a 27-32", 1440p with a decent refresh rate, that is good for gaming, but also allow me to work without looking weird (infrastructure system admin), if that's possible!?

Budget is upto £600

I got this on a deal recently, happy with it so far. LG 32" 32GP850-B

I was planning to get the Asus ROG Swift PG329Q which performs a little better according to Rtings and HUB, however when the deal on that ended, it would have cost double what I paid for the LG.

I WFH quite a bit with SAP, spreadsheets and code so finding the LG a nice balance for work and gaming.
Not that I have the twich reflexes for FPS these days....

Thanks, ill have a look into both of those. Not heard of those two review sites either, so will have a look at them. I'm mostly playing D4 at the moment. I used to be a hardcore FPS guy but just too old and slow now!
Is that monitor not 4k? I dont have the GPU for that.

Ahh apologies I didn't see the 1440p part.

Looks like they do actually have a 1440p version of that monitor. Not sure whether it is as good though...

Issue for me is the M32QC is curved, there was a curved monitor at work but I didn't like it for productivity.... perhaps I'm set in my ways with my flat panel.
The equivalent flat monitor was the M32Q... I was holding out for this at OCUK due to a great price, however it is now delisted and OOS everywhere other than a few refurbs on an auction site.

The LG I bought and linked to above performs very similar to the M32Q ... at least according to HUB (Hardware Unboxed / Monitors Unboxes channels on Youtube)

Not really much choice for high refresh 1440P @ 32 inch, plenty more at 27" but my old eyes appreciate the size.

Cooler Master GP27Q

1440p
Mini LED with 576 zones for decent HDR
High refresh
90w USB C with KVM switch

Perfect WFH monitor IMO.
I have one
Not tried the kvm
But picture wise
Side by side with my secondary monitor
A gigabyte ad27qd
Not really blown away by it
Windows kind of sucks with hdr
Which probably doesn't help though
Half the price of an oled though
It's probably worth the £500 I paid for it
But I am not raving over it
To be fair the ad27qd I am comparing the image to
Isn't exactly a bad monitor either

I’d say it’s not just the picture quality which does it, but the combination of that and the features it has too.

90w charging is rare - most devices do 45 or 60.

90w will power my MacBook at full tilt.

I bought a Benq Morbiuz EX3415R 34" curved ultrawide 1440p 144Hz for £348 last year on black friday deals (Insane price) and its a fantastic monitor it being curved and IPS. However it appears you are not a fan of the curved monitors. To be fair then you can get some pretty decent 32" 1440p 144hz monitors for significantly cheaper than £500-600.

I think i'm leaning more towards a 32" for the same reason. Using smaller screens i tend to stare into one space a lot more which irritates my eyes.

I'm not against a curved screen, although i have never actually used one. Not sure how well it would work with my other two monitors being flat panel.
