High, my cousin is asking me to spec him a PC for no more than £600, he would like to play games on it so an 8800 or 9600 is a must he doesn't know much about overclocking so a CPU thats quiet good out of the box will be nice. thanx

i'm not to good at building to a budget, my eye always gets attracted to the expensive stuff, and i dont know to much about which motherboard would be best with a core2.

help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it just for gaming or will he be doing any photo editing etc with it? Does it need the monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers and OS out of that budget?

I had a mess around and came up with this,

Nothing massively wrong with that system there, I'd personally change the DVDRW to a SATA model and you might be recommended to change the hard drive from Maxtor to another. If you change the Ram to OCZ Platinum 2gb which is on offer this week you could save about £10 to put towards a larger hard drive.
