YO,

Wondering what kind of system you can get for £600. Will be used for playing games like Rome 2, Battlefield 4 as well as anything new that comes out. Not looking for ultra settings, I know that you can't get that for £600 but want to see what people come up with.

Will need everything aside from windows. Gaming will be done at 1920 x 1200! Also, if you had an extra £100 to spend, how would you spend it?

I'd get something like this. Strong i5 CPU, as well as an R9 280. Should be capable of ultra. Around £50 over though, to drop it back under;

Meh, the Z97 board is the same price as the bottom end H97 boards. I'll have another go later

Even though I'd normally say Intel, I'd go for something like that 8320 build i did over an i3 any day

Not really as a decent H97/B95 board is only £5-£10 cheaper. Well worth the extra just to use faster RAM.

Though id go with an 8320 build for that budget.

I was thinking more about the overclocking side of things. Seems a bit of a waste having a Z97 board with a non 'k' cpu.

Looking good! Might well go for the AMD route, as it means saving some cash to have a prettier case. Will see how much extra cash my mate can muster up and maybe go for the new i5 k.

Cheers chaps!
