Hey guys,

My brother wants a new pc within the above budget, can anyone recommend me a good spec?

- It will be primarily for gaming.
- He has Monitor/ Mouse/ keyboard, but will need an O/S.
- Tempted to go with Windows 7 rather than W8.
- Is quad core possible at this budget?

Cheers

is there anything from his old computer he can reuse?
eg: psu, case, optical drive, hdd, ssd, heatsink?

if he does then:

I'd change the MSI g/card for the HIS one!! Fan's are quieter & price is the same.

Unfortunately not, its a really old AMD budget gamer and its on its lasts legs!

I might try and salvage the hdd but i wont want it as the primary drive.

the HIS card has 1gb vram btw.

Good point. I'm thinking 2gb is a must particular as i know he likes BF3.

best, i could come up with. no quad core unfortunately.
