So with Stulid's spec on the upgrade (assuming the D-14 fits) and free delivery (I signed up for free delivery a few weeks back) :rolleyes:

I just need to get a bigger/faster SSD with the remainder budget? Which one, tho ?

Considering I have 1 80gb X2 Intel SSD already (not sure on exact model no)

Is it best to go Raid striped with 2 of the same SATA 2 drive? or utilize SATA 3 in 1 new SSD drive?.

With the drive just for steam, I just want it to load game data as fast as possible, perhaps write speed is not so important ?

Steam installs can be huge, but I think you can put more than one on your PC.

So install the OS and Steam with a current game or two(whatever you can fit on a 80GB SSD), then put another Steam install with the rest on a normal harddrive.

But you would have to check if you can install more than one Steam as I could be talking crap, but it seems to trigger a memory in the back of my Grey matter.

Yeah, but it might be worth checking if you can, something is reminding me of something I remember seeing a while ago that you could do something like that.

Can you partition the SSD and use that as part of an Intel Smart Response setup or is ISR strictly the whole drive ?
