~£600 portable laptop

Hi, looking for some advice.

As the thread states I need a laptop, preferably around the £600 mark. As a student it would be really handy to have something portable I could easily take to and from lectures - no more than 13 inches. I'll also be using it for some graphic design (no 3D stuff - just typesetting for a newsletter with InDesign, Acrobat and Photoshop; also will be using a monitor, hence I'm not bothered about a large screen) and preferably some light gaming so a bit of oomph and extra RAM would be great. Also I have a thing about crap keyboards so preferably something nice to type on.

Not kept up to date with laptops in general over the last couple of years (hence I'm here asking) but I'm deeply jealous of my friend's Dell XPS 13 — something similar at half the price would be great in an ideal world.

It's going to be purchased through a third party as part of a contract so the budget is pretty strict — however if anyone has any particularly tempting suggestions under £800 I may see what I can negotiate.

Any help much appreciated :)

Personally I find 13" laptop keyboards to be a cramped for extended bouts of typing, I struggled with my ultrabook a few years back.

Cheers krooton, noted. I plan to use a keyboard and monitor for that sort of thing though - would really just be note-taking in lectures. Right now I'm inclined to think the portability makes it worth it for me but maybe I'd better try it and find out.

At the moment I'm quite attracted towards this https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0...ds=ux410ua&dpPl=1&dpID=41Rfz69uLUL&ref=plSrch or this https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01N0ZT626/ref=psdcmw_429886031_t2_B06Y2G2QDV

Anyone with any experience of the Asus Zenbooks able to offer an opinion? The 410 seems ideal but I can't find much in the way of reviews. Also, will a recent i3 and integrated graphics be sufficient for graphic design? As I've said before I'm out the loop with these things :)

Look for a used XPS 13. I picked up one from the members market for £550 (a 9350). Look on ebay etc they are cheaper than you think
