This pc will be used for gaming and general university stuffs for him.

Any advice or changes would be great... as i was hoping to get a better GFX card in there. he wants that 20" monitor tho and case. (pain in the butt) :D

Thanks

if he's gaming and wants to play things like crysis on high, you will need an ATI4850, and overclock that cpu to 3.6ghz (which you can do nicely with a third party cpu cooler. Look at the Arctic Freezer Pro 7).

ok but it not just a case of take off the HD2900GT and plonk in a 4850 coz the cost will go up :(

any advice what to change or spec me a rig?

If gaming your best off with a full tower case as with gaming if gonna create a lot of heat which most atx cases cant handle.
So i would reccomend a standard ATX case. Also by this i think you save some cash.

unfortunatly he wants that case :s so i know this . You know this . but FA i can do about it.....already sed it to him.

what can i reduce?

Not sure tbh, I would really explain to him that if he wants a decent gaming PC that he is going to have to change to a bigger case. Failing that it will be a good high-definition playing PC, or media centre :). With some leight gaming.
