Hey guys, right im basically looking for a gaming machine for around £600. I only need the tower unit as I am buying a new monitor around christmas time. The 600 is purely for the hardware as I allready have the OS

. Any recommendations are much appreciated. Thank youssss

errrrrr, GTS450 is same speed as a 9800GTX+

the psu has poor reviews.

Then why give out advice to people who need help with their specs, if you have little or no knowledge of the components.

Stulid's builds are just about always spot on. If there are things you do not agree with, then it is usually about personal preference or about having some components you have fallen in love with. Objectively, his builds deliver time and time again.

Thanks a lot for the advice looking at stulids build for sure ! Everything I was looking for apart from I would punt for the antec 300 instead. A quick question though. Obviously the oem version of windows 7 is linked to your motherboard. If i wanted to change my graphics card in future would that mean that I would have to buy a new os or not ? Sorry for the hazyness of the question Its just a rumour I have heard.

no youll be fine to change everything bar mobo
gfx card, hdd, cpu no probs,
mobo = new OS, though sometimes you can get away with that even

I ordered some parts for my first build the other day. Just looking around to see if i can get the final few bits on the cheap and then it's go time. Exiting is it not?

just remember you are eligible for free delivery, but that GTX470 I picked isn't, so you may have to change it for the one on weekly special offer, to then save money on delivery, works out about the same price, if you get me.

think everything is free when you qualify, except for today only deals, which the GTX470 in my spec is currently on.

this means the whole order will not be eligible, but if he picks the 470 that's on this week only, which costs a bit more, he can then apply the free delivery option to the order.

it works out about the same price.

It may be tommorow that I physically order the parts so ill double check in this thread before hand before I hit the order button

Hopefully it will be today though. A AMD 3400+ 1 gb of ram and an AGP card are starting to depress me lol ^^.
