Hi Everyone,

I'm hoping that some kind soul(s) can spec me a new system for around the £600 mark.
I use my PC for doing video work, audio cleaning, downloading torrents and doing lots of work on Publisher, Powerpoint etc. Also another forum I frequent has nightly online Quake games which I'm keen to participate in ;)
I have a couple of IDE hard drives in my current set up (one for video work and the other for everything else) but, if SATA is a vast improvement, then I'd like to ditch one of them in favour a SATA HDD with about 80gb.
Ideally I'd like to have a couple of DVD Writers as I prefer to burn stuff on the fly (and also one of the writers would have to have the capability to read DVD-RAM - Pioneer???)
The case would have to have at least 3 5.25" bays as, apart from the 2 writers I also have a Canopus ADVC Capture card which is housed at the front of the PC.
The sound card I use is an old Creative Labs Soundblaster Live! card - I've got no great desire to change this (perhaps even these days an onboard soundcard may sound better than this?)
I need at least 2 PCI slots on the mobo - for the soundcard and the Canopus and my only non-USB external equipment, a scanner, plugs into LPT1 so no need for serial ports.
Any suggestions appreciated :D

Just to let you know you are not being ignored. I will post back in 5 mins or so with a decent list for you. :)

Do you ned a monitor included in that price?

You'll be able to get a nice overclock out of that E6300 with the DS3 and better fan. Also the Lian Li is a gorgeous case.

Thumbs up for Lee's spec.
Basicly got the the same system, (See my sig).
The case is very shexi.
Only problem i've had is, im very confused which socket on the DS3 the hdd light goes into ;S

The NEC drive is very loud, Hitachi disks aren't half as reliable as they used to be, plus my case and PSU are superior, especially the Lian Li's looks. Also the aftermarket cooler will allow for a very nice overclock with the DS3.
