The X470 might, the B450 does not.

Strix E also uses 2 hi and 2 Low side vs Strix F of 1 Hi and 2 Low.

Carbon and Toma also use the same number of True Phases but wired vs differently , Carbon also has more Chokes

Carbon is 6 True Phases, 10 Virtual , (4x2)+2
Toma is 6 True phases & no virtual's 4+2 . Both feature 2 hi and 2 low mosfet , Cap on Carbon are better more more in numbers

would have got @Plec on this board but not worth the asus tax!!!

I'm googling around on the Strix-E and I'm finding so much conflicting information it's unbelievable, it'd be nice of motherboard manufacturers confirmed this sort of thing on their specification lists.

I'll bookmark that spreadsheet and give it a good read over.

Regardless, if the OP is going for a Zen 2 CPU he'll need either a MAX board or access to bios flashback unless he has access to a spare last gen chip.

Was restricted to Distribution for a while and likes of OCUK / s*** etc didn't list them till Months afterwards !!!! still chose ITX boards over it though :)

all boards now should be flashed, its coming close to a year. Know Gigabyte flashed a lot of their stock a while ago , and offer to flash it for customers but their B450 range isn't great bar the ITX

b550 though will have flash feature has its handy , specially for Zen3 following after it :D

My next full build will be either m-atx or itx tbh, I just no longer see the point in full sized boards/cases for my usage.

I'm not sure I'd take the chance on all boards being flashed mind you, there was a guy on here a couple of weeks back that had to be talked through using his B450 Pro Carbon's flashback feature. lol

It's a fiver cheaper and is a much better board, the Asus one you're looking at has poor VRM's. The Strix B450-E also lacks bios flashback, meaning you can't update the bios without the CPU if necessary, there's no guarantee it'll work out of the box with Ryzen 3000 chips.

I was going for this on the basis the VRAM had been upgraded on the B450-E. which i think is what others have confirmed :)
To be honest I never overclock anything anyway, I have done in the past now I just think whats the point...
I would prefer a smaller board though, never been a fan of larger cases.
