Hi,
I've got an Athlon X4 640 @ 3.0GHZ i've been running at stock since i got it (tried an oc once, couldn't get past 3.1 without overvolting)
Now, i recently got a new mobo + extra 4GB RAM, so i'm now running 8GB.
I went into my BIOS this morning, and noticed my RAM was running at 800mhz, not the rated 1333!
So i changed the RAM frequency, and suddenly Windows says my CPU is running @ 3.6GHZ! with no overvolt!
Is this my system getting confused, or has my CPU suddenly decided it likes to work with a higher clock on my new mobo?
The thing that really has be confused is the fact my Idle temps are no different, and i'm on stock cooling....
