So i got my new build yesterday, finally got sround to building it today but have come across a minor but really annoying problem.

Its the 600T white edition, but if i plug my 4 pin front fan plug into the 4 pin chassis fan port on the mobo, the system refuses to boot. If I leave it unplugged it boots fine, but obviously theses no air intake to my i7 or 570 which is gonna lead to all sorts of problems.

Oh and the mobo is the asrock extreme 4.

Thanks

Sorry just noticed i haven't specified that the fan has a plug for 4 pins to go into it and also a 4 pin molex which is plugged into a psu connector. The problem comes when plugging the chassis plug into the motherboard, not the molex to the psu.

I apologise for my late reply, but would just like to say thanks to everyone for their help. Turns out I was just been stupid and didnt realise, as pointed out, that there were protective caps on the fan controller pins that needed to be removed. All sorted now, though.

Got some minor tidying up to do, but I will most definitely post some photos later on today :)

Thanks all!

Oh, and I went with AsRock purely based on the amount of recommendations from this site. I want to get one of Asus Maximus boards eventually but for now it will do the job I require it to :)
