So, I decided to Order a Noise Dampened Case a couple of days ago, came today, 600T is a really nice looking case and I'm looking forward to putting my parts into it.

However, I do have a minor concern with the Noise Dampening.

A lot of the material seems to block ventilation areas. I've yet to turn it all on, so, I'm not sure how much of an effect it's going to have, but, I get the impression they're going to block airflow a bit.

Some of the Pre-installed material still has the sticky-back stuff still on it which doesn't seem porous at all.

Not sure if this is how it's supposed to be or if I'm just missing something.

Anyone else bought one of the noise dampened cases (Or this case specifically) and can get back to me on if these pads affect airflow and cooling and what-not?

I didnt think the 600T was marketed specifically a noise dampened case.

Ive never seen the insulating material on the 600T only mesh grills. I could understand if you were talking about the 550D.

Ahh, never seen that version before.

If you read the reviews of the 550D it says the same that airflow is compromised with the insulation. But on the 550D you have the choice of removing it or not so its up to user whether thye want quietness or coolness.

Looking a bit more at the 600T you bought it doesnt look like they have covered the front gril or back fans in any way so that sghouldnt affect airflow, I cant se what they have sone in the roof of the case though.

I know this thread is like.... really really old.
but i find myself ready to grab either the normal 600t or the dampened version of it.
I WILL swap the stock 200mm front fan for a BitFenix Spectre Pro 200mm and the stock 120mm rear fan for an AF120 Quiet.

So.. my question is.. grabbing the dampened version (while keeping in mind the fan changes i mentioned) is still going to be a decent improvement or will it be a letdown of some sort?

Hearing from Cingal since he has personal experience with it would be fantastic but i am really curious on what you guys have to say about it.

Sorry again for diggin it up but i really need the community's lights :D

Get the Normal 600t (white looks great :D) Swap out the front and top 200mm for a front Bitfenix spec pro 200m and get some 120s for the top (as the top might be a squeeze for the bit fenix) personally I wouldn't dampen the case its a solid built big thing, no rattles or vibration noises and with a decent Fan controller you have the choice of silence or performance (The top one is great for dimming LED strips but may P you off if you use it for fans). One thing to note make sure you seriously tighten the window (As it can creek when everything gets hot)
