Hi guys,

Im upgrading me old gfx card to a Evga gtx770 so i will need a new PSU. Currently i have 3 hard drives dvd rom and 3 case fans. Im wondering if with a new gtx770 if 600watts of power from this Corsair will be enough for the job?

I cant see myself needing anymore power for a while after this upgrade so i dont need too much "headroom" if you know what i mean, but i also dont want to be on the edge too much ;)

Anyway thanks in advance for any advice.

The psu im looking at is the Corsair CXM600w modular.

That should be more than enough. I believe the card will peak around 180w, give or take under load. 600w PSU will have a lot of headroom.

Power wise plenty, but having been through a few Corsair PSU's, (3 over 5 years) I wouldn't buy another.
After sales service was good apart from having to ship abroad, but no more Corsair for me !

I am sure there are loads of people had them years without issue, but just thought I would throw in my 2p worth :)

I'd agree. Shipping something overseas can be hefty and not practical from the end user's perspective. There is a work around this, if you are faced with multiple replacement (not only PSU), we'll be able to work it out for you in terms of freight fees. All you have to do is contact our customer service and let them know that you've had multiple replacements already and paying shipping fees over and over again gets really expensive and not to mention, time consuming. I'm confident that our customer service will sort it out for you, once you have presented your case.

600w will handle that setup with ease. Running sli 670's here and the highest power draw ive seen at the wall is 430w, (that is total system and monitor). Psu is a 4 year old HX 850w unit.
