Just noticed an online retailer selling new 60gb EU PS3's for £399 inc

Thought these had all dried up now? other than on the auction site

For that price you can get a 40GB and 100% compatible PS2 and still have money to spare.

This is quite old now but as you can see BC is far from perfect in the EU units:

Only the early Japanese and US consoles had the full PS2 hardware included.

Saw these earlier, but managed to get a 40GB model for £269 from work and I don't care about PS2 support.

The 60gb can be had for £350. Doubt stock will last that long.

IIRC Sony have stopped making them, however retailers may still have them in stock as I would predict a lot of people may have gone for the 40gb model over the 60gb model simply because its cheaper.
