6200 LE vs G31/33?

My brother has been complaining that he has to play Sims 3 on such low settings due to the G31/33. I have a spare 6200 LE lying around I could add in but I was wondering if it was better or lower performance?

I'd imagine it would be better, although not by much.

I'd have thought it was slower off the top of my head - the intel GMA chip on those boards is roughly equivalent to the "high end" nvidia 5 series cards whereas the 6200 is approx. the performance of the mainstream 5 series part.


EDIT: Whatever the actual performance numbers might be - its going to be in the same ballpark so if its struggling with one its almost certainly going to struggle with the other.

You could pick up a 4670 for 50 notes. Would blow everything else out of the water at that price.

He's unwilling to spend on a new card... ah doesn't matter, I'll let him suffer with the G31/33 a little longer
