Are they really just a Honda Accord with a Rover badge?

If so then they arent bad for the money.

Yes. Next door neighbour had the accord and blew a hole in his radiator.

Honda wanted £600. We pulled the rad out and it had Rover branding and part details on it

£180 from rover for the same part.

So now that Rover are still in limbo, where would you go for parts?

Or Rover.

They never made the parts in the first place.

The company that made the parts is still in business.

There are still dealers around the UK.

Surely this has got to be a bargain car then. Leather, aircon, electric everything, honda engine, and you can pick them up for under 1k. It has to be mondeo beater for cheap motoring?

Yep, it's a Honda in drag.
I went to have a look at one a few years ago. As you say, they look like a bargain. Unfortunately the one I test drove died on the test drive. Can't say that it impressed me.

Pft, there's nothing wrong with the T series engine.

I don't care who jumps in to slate me, but I know loads of people who use a Rover engine'd car as their daily driver and have no problems.

I've had 2 K-series engines and had no problems, and my current T-series engined car has been sat on the drive for the past 5 days. Started it for the first time last night and it fired up absolutely fine on the first turn of the starter.

Just because you might read posts on here, doesn't mean all Rover engines are crap. :)

Oh, Honda aren't the be all and end all when it comes to engines.

But in all fairness, they are better than the rover engines. If I want a reliable engine I will go for a Honda engine everytime.

How can you say that without actual experience? I know I'm contradicting myself there, but too many people on this forum are put off by what other people have read/seen... never what they've actually experienced themselves.

Ah well, if you don't get a Rover engine, that's more bits for me :)

623GSi is a great car BUT 99.99% of them are automatics.

Mondeo beater? Depends what you want, it doesn't handle as well but its far from a bad car. They are great.

You have been reading a party political broadcast by the Fox Party, whats written might not reflect his real views but least it doesn't offend :p

They're not bad. You could get a 620 Ti (Rover 2 litre Turbo engine) for less. Probably quicker.

A fair bit quicker. Go and buy one :P, in-fact, come and buy mine! :p ;) :D .

If you're gonna get a 623, get a ti imo. Brilliant cars for the money. Jeez, they were good when you paid full price for them.
