2 problems with my new Nokia 6280 on T-mobile.

Firstly, i plugged the headphones in and played a tune (tried the radio too) and i'm only getting sound from the right ear piece, i put stereo widening on and still no sound from the left ear piece.

Secondly, i can't access the internet or send picture messages. I have had all of the settings sent etc... but picture messages just stay in the outbox and when i try going onto the interweb it says "Subscribe to packet date first" then "Link not available"

Anyone got any ideas on any of these problems, if not both?

Thanks,

Andy

Am i allowed to point and laugh at the irony of the fact your the guy working in the phone shop, but still can't work his phone?

Sorry, otherwise i can't actually help you dude. :o

How do the headphones plug into the phone? By the 2.5mm jack or some sort of proprietary connection?

Laugh away, i have, it's baffled me lol

Has it's own funny connection malarky.

I'd be tempted to laugh at the fact he works for a phone shop and bought a phone that everyone I know thinks is crap because its build quality is shocking and it's just a bit temperamental :p

Every demo unit I've seen in 4 different branches has fallen apart within a day because the spring for the slide action is dodgy, and a friend of mine who used to have one hated it because the battery ran down fast and the slider kept getting jammed.

Plus if you wanted a phone that played music well, a w800i or w810i would have done you better.

You really should have done more research Aruffell :( Would have PMed you but been too busy this weekend sorry.

I like the phone.

We've had our 6280 demo phone for months and it still works like a dream.

Battery on this is fine.

Didn't want it for music, only wanted a new phone on Flext, and this was the best as i've already got a w800i on O2 Online.

I have to concur with the "Ha ha you bought a 6280" statement first of all...

With regards to the MMS/Wap, sounds like you don't have the correct settings stored/selected on the phone, or that your sim card isn't correctly provisioned for those features.

No idea about the music player side of it though.

Best advice I'd give you would be to take the phone back, and get something worthwhile. A W810i will be a much better music player, or wait for the N80 if you have to have a nokia handset.

MMS/WAP working fine now, just needed a few hours i guess.

Going to try another headset at work later, if that don't work, going to try another phone.

Agreed.

No returns policy for the contract? I know we don't with T-Mobile but wasn't sure if the Link have one.
Not sure if you've got this as an employee either but I know I can change my phone every 6 months as an employee of CPW.

No returns on t-mobile.

Don't think we can change every 6 months either.
