we'll see, so far [H] have managed to get the P5N-E up to 500fsb just, and managing around 470fsb easily.

i'm unsure of what the E6300 is roughly reaching still. care to enlighten me?

I've ordered the E6300, that's done and dusted after nightless sleeps between the whole E6300vsE6400vsE6600 notion.

Now it's just I was set to pick up the P5B Deluxe (non wifi) for £114 from a shop on monday, hence why I'm still reading more on it. Same with the Ram, night mare the ram is :\

These 650i boards, what advantage do they have bar sli? That won't be important to me as I've ordered a 1950XT.

i wont take your word for it, you've been hella arrogant since you've been on the boards. there are plenty of people that know just as much about computers and overclocking as you - but at least they are nice about it.

just looked at the [H] conroe clocking database as its quite large, seems most of the E6300's top out at around 3.5 which is 500fsb, and the E6400's tend to top out at about the same 3.5/6

so if i get the P5N with that it'll be £183
if i get the P5B with that its £233

thats a saving of £50 and most likely the same clocks as my ram'll do 500fsb.

i was considering the E6400's as i didnt know whether it was the chip or FSB limiting the E6300s

and i dont profess to know it all, but its always nice to explain why your point of view is right, which you never ever seem to do.

IF it was me I would get

6300 and a ds3 for 200

on a nice chip(not all 6300's do 3.5ghz)

you willl get 7x 500 3.5ghz

Think they may do(XMS6404 V2.2 0645284-7),,but they do 1000Mhz@ 4-4-4-12 so can't complain Even if they are promos ICs

well i certainly wished i got the 6400 over the 6300...

with a 965 mobo your REALLY limited due to the lack of memory divider.
if your ram aint up to the job... your looking at 2.8Ghz 1:1 overclock with 6400 RAM )
64 or a 66 is a better buy.

i'll agree with your sentiments there, but in the savings from getting an E6300 instead of the E6400 you can put it towards better ram.

I've seen it at Corsair's support over at scan. Confirmed by themselves. I'm genuinely stumped on which ram to get now
