Hi, finally decided to upgrade and have decided to go for the E6300. The only thing is, im stuck on everything else. Trying to keep to a budget between £300 - £400.
I need E6300(of course), motherboard, GFX and memory. As for the graphics card, ive had a 9800pro for the last 2 years and have been pretty happy with that, so it doesnt have to be a mega improvement over that but a good improvement would be nice.

Cheers

All i need is CPU(Which as i said im leaning tot he E6300), Motherboard, Memory and GFX.
The GFX is where im really stuck :s

I read the budget to not include the CPU, lol - ignore mine then

But im only gonna play CSS - and wanted nVidia, if your more of a gamer get an X1800 instead, not sure if this goes over your desired budget really though

Second is over budget:

£115.95 £115.95

Second spec has the better graphics card, but if you're not too bothered with gaming then the 7600 will do.

Will the 7600 be much of an improvement on a 9800 Pro??

Does anyone know a site where all the different GFX cards are compared with each other. Im sure Toms Hardware had something like that but i cant find it.

Cheers

The 7600 should be a better card. How much of an improvement depends on what games you play and how much eye candy you use!

Just Google 7600 vs 9800 pro and you should get plenty of comparisons.

"256Mb Leadtek 7600GS Extreme, PCI-E (x16), Mem 900MHz, GPU 520MHz, 12 Pipes, Dual Link DVI-I/DVI-I "

Would this be any better than the 3DFuzion GeForce 7600 GS? Or am i just getting drawn in by the word "Extreme" :)

Cheers

Dave

the 3DFuzion one has the same clock speeds afaik

The Leadtek Extreme OcUK stock is faster then that though;

Leadtek GeForce 7600 GT Extreme 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-083-LT)

- GeForce 7600 GT Core running at 590MHz
- 256MB GDDR3 Extreme Memory running at 1600MHz

But its a GT not a GS

Have just ordered this. Thanks for the help :D

Arghh, need a PSU for this system now. should have checked sooner instead of relying on advice from my brother. What do you recommend for say £90 tops.

Thinking of the Seasonic 500w, or would i be better off getting something else?
