6300 voltage range?

Hi, Ive just installed my new 6300 in a P5B-D with some OCZ 2GB PC2-6400.
Its clocked to 2.8 GHz with vcore at 1.32 no problem, however it aint stable at 3 GHz which is what I want to run 24/7. Whats the voltage range I can put though this resonable safely?

temps are 38C idle and load around 48C

what have you the vcore set to in the BIOS, the 6300 is defualt voltage of 1.325v

the p5b-d has a vcore undervolt issue. to get a 1.325v vcore you actually need to set the vcore to around the 1.365v in the bios.

if you set the vcore to 1.325 in the bios and use cpu-z to read the vcore it will be around the 1.2xx mark

i have my 6300 at 2.8ghz 400x7 and a vcore of 1.365v (in BIOS) 1.325v in windows

yer i no m8, its 1.365 in bios, the above is from cpuz

when i wanted to hit the 3gig mark 3.15 to precise (450x7) i had to up my ram voltage, many people are hitting 3.2 on stock vcore.

try upping your mem voltage. my geil 6400 ULL is 2.10v, i think i upped mine to 2.20v and windows booted and passed orthos etc. only thing that put me off the 3.15ghz was my temps were around 40 idle, originally 32c idle 48c load

I had some problems with my system freezing when I pushed the 3.15ghz limits. My Dominator 6400C4 ram would only manage 5-5-5-24 timings @ 800mhz.

I upped the ram voltage to 2.1, dropped the CPU speed to 3ghz and was able to then set the ram to 4-4-4-12 @ 850mhz which I'm happy with. Probably could up the ram to 900mhz + but I don't want to risk it.

My temps are 48c under load with Orthos.
