at the mo im running a 64 3000 at stock on a crappy jetway mb. im gonna do a completly new system sometime nxt year but would like something extra to tide me over till then. i was thinking of : -

AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego (Socket 939) - OEM

would i see much of an increase in power with something like this? i know its not going to be huge, but id just like my comp to be a bit more nippy.
 
dont see much point in going dualcore just yet, i dont use any applications that are multi-threaded so i think it would be a bit of a waste.
