64-bit Android set for Q3

Considering iOS 7 is split into 32-bit (for the 5c and older iOS devices) and 64-bit (5s), it would suprise me if Android didn't follow suit. Plus it would give Google a bad image to drop support of their recent Nexus devices so quickly and could give a bad backlash from other manufacturers.

I did not know iOS7 came in two flavours.

Huh, didn't realise it was that soon actually. This changes things. No point getting a new phone at all now if Q3 is when 64bit kicks off. Christmas 2014 is the time to upgrade :p

Hmm... Can I last with my GS2 untill then.

Answer is yes, but I have been looking to upgrade for maybe 6-9 months now... maybe longer.

Should I just say sod it and get a Nexus 5. Surely, even if this happens, they arent going to drop support for the device to the next version of Android.

I mean 5 assuming it comes in Oct. (Or whenever the Nexus 6 is launched)
