Just got my PC all set up after shipping it over from the UK. XP x86 boots fine but my Vista x64 install, the install disc and Windows Server 2008 x64 refuse to boot. The install media goes through the loading of files then the next screen should be what looks like vista's loading screen.

After 30 mins of waiting I gave up and booted into XP. I've not seen anything like this before, any one have any sugestions please?

XP was installed first then Vista was installed after to create a dual boot menu. The bit that makes no sence is that the Vista DVD, the Windows Server 2008 dvd and a Ubuntu 8.04 CD (all 64 bit) fail to boot. 32 bit discs are fine though.

Found the cause of the problem. One of the 4 sticks had died (the one in slot 2). Odd that it would boot into 32 bit fine with a dead stick but not 64 bit.
