i just heard about an 64 Bit Client for WindowsXP64, which is 20 percent faster than all othter, i took my hand on this and will you inform, when this Information is correct.

is here someone who is working on this...

Greetings from Germany

Certianly is good news for 64bit operating systems, for which there has been little support. I'm glad (and surprised) to see such a performance boost. As far as the folding devs are concerned it's apparently too much effort for too little performance increase :(

This'll be good for Vista.. WinXP64bit just seems to annoy me more than delight me.
Whys that? I've found x64 to be great. I guess I've had a couple of problems though; the RAID was a hassle without a floppy drive, drivers for printers/scanners/cameras are non-existent, and I have yet to find a decent x64 firewall - doing without at the moment as the router is bulletproof.

The thing that put me off xp64 is lack of printer drivers. Last time i looked there were none. Minor problem, but a major pain.
Still, 20% is a fair amount, presumably the client will work on 64bit versions of vista too.

Thats it, whilst the OS is fine, the drivers aren't really there for it. Nor is anyone interested in developing them for it because Vista brings in an entirely new driver model.
