6400 or 8500?

I have 2GB of XTC OCZ Series DDR2 and want to upgrade to 4GB but is it worth spending the extra for 4GB of 8500? or for the same price i could get 8GB of 6400:

If youre running your Q6600 at 2.6ghz then there is no point.

You can run PC2-6400 1:1 with a Q6600 thats at 3.6ghz (400x9)

8500 would be a waste unless you're after better timings

I would agree with Tom PC8500 is not worth it unless you're over clocking and exceeding 475mhz+ FSB. And even then, good clocking PC6400 will keep up. You have excellent 6400 memory. If you are running your Q6600 at 2.6ghz then there is no point.

Any specific reason for 8G of memory?

Are you intending to run 64bit OS ?

Just get another 2gb of 6400 mate. I wouldnt bother with 8gb

As above, slap in another 2GB of PC6400 for under £40, that'll give top notch performance.
