6400 sold - what now ?

Going by what I picked up in the thread, if I had the spare dosh I would get a Quad core have seen the Q6600 overclocked to beyond 3GHz. With the Q6600 even if it didn't overclock really well there would be a noticeable performance increase in cpu intensive apps ie encoding encrypting ect.

I mainly use tmpgenc express 4, ie. encoding a 3hr dvd - No not an english one. Using a 6600 took 3hrs, using a 6400 took 3 hrs 20mins.

So buy a quad core and do it in under 2 hours !

Did a quick google and found this I now retract my Q6600 choice :) one way to go for "Bang for da quid" or for our western neighbours "Bang for the Buck"
