Just thought I'd share with you all that I beat the odds yesterday (649,739 to 1) and got a Royal Flush on Texas Hold 'Em. Only played just over a 1,000 hands in total so well chuffed.

Told the Mrs who words were "That's Nice Dear!"

Yeah, there's the Texas Holdem game on Live Arcade... you just unlock an achievement on it when you get all the different types of hands I think.

Sorry...forgot to mention it was Texas Hold 'Em on XBLA. Gutted the achievement is glitched as that has to be one of the hardest ones to get given the odds involved.

An ace-high straight flush such as A♣ K♣ Q♣ J♣ 10♣ is known as a royal flush, and is the highest ranking standard poker hand. (excluding five of a kind).

I worry too much to play poker I think

How can you have 5 of a kind :confused:

That's amazing. I played Texas quite a bit when it came out amassing over 500k in single player. Haven't played in a while and quite frankly never thought I'd see someone get a Royal Flush. Well done matey.

Four Aces and a king is four of a kind, and beaten by any straight flush.

You can have five of a kind when you are playing wild cards (jokers wild maybe, where a joker can be any card that improves your hand) So you could have four Aces, and a joker, giving you five of a kind (5 aces).
