should if get it?

how reliable is it now and will my programs work with it?

i have heard that some programs dont support 64bit is there anything im likely to have that wont work on 64bit? i use AVG, some chat programs, cod4 and lotro games, utorrent and my set up is in my sig should i be able to run these thru vista 64?

also how do you get on with setting up raid arrays with visa?

and does vista support duel screen displays?

any info or tips would be really appreciated.

thanks

do yourself a favour, ditch avg

if you want free av, use avast

should work perfectly with your rig

sounds good and will give avast a look see if its better than AVG.

do you have any ideas about raid and duel screen do they both work the same as in XP? ie do i just put the raid floppy in dure in vista install?

also as a side question do i need to back up any data i want, format my drives and install vista or will it install over the top in an upgrade sort of way?

thanks

it's a lot more similar than you think, once you use it, you'll be pleased :)

what motherboard do you have?

vista has all the intel raid drivers by default (afaik), i'd give vista a clean hard drive to start a fresh, so backup first. you can't upgrade from 32 to 64

also, you don't really need av with vista, just use tweakuac to silence most of the uac warnings and disable defender real-time scanning

erm im not great with motherboards. its a gigabyte ds3 maybe? i will have to look at the box when i get home lol

ah so basically i do a fresh install and at some point i would just press a button to set the two harddrives into a raid array? rather than pressing a button then putting a disk in?
