Just bought this board with £50 off, woo..

Need to choose some RAM and a CPU, I was looking at supported RAM -

What is my best option for 64gb?

I found this one, which is on the compatibility list.

maybe it will cause a problem having so much when it comes to overclocking hmm

I went for corsair LPX 3000 4*16GB as I found a place that had it £60 lower than any ware else. Now I would go for the corsair LPX 3200 4*16GB kit as it can run with 100 strap so the CPU does not need overclocking to get 3200 mem speed (think), it’s also a few £ cheaper than the LPX 3000 kit now.

Well this would be a cheaper option:

My basket at Overclockers UK:

2 x Kingston Fury Black 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 PC4-19200C15 2400MHz Quad Channel Kit - Black (HX424C15FB2K4/3= £116.99

Total: £242.68
(includes shipping: £8.70)

I'd try overclocking these to 2666. You have to be unlucky to land RAM that doesn't OC one level up from its rated frequency with no, or just a few, tweaks.

I have seen 64GB 3200 4*16gb LPX DDR4 3200MHz for ~£347 but I cannot add a link to it. If you don’t intend to add more ram later, 8*8 is cheaper.

Those looking for 64GB at those speeds should try GSKill Trident Z 3200C14 4x8GB. These kits work well on this platform. Although I can't recommend mixing memory kits for those with little experience. Also be warned that these frequencies and densities may depend on the strength of the memory controller on the CPU
