I have the 49" version and cannot fault it for picture quality.
Can someone offer suggestions of a 65 inch TV around 1600 mark. Thanks
Thabks how does it compare to the Sony?Panasonic 65EX750B LED HDR 4K Ultra HD 3D Smart TV, 65" with Freeview Play/Freesat HD & Swivel Stand, Ultra HD Certified, Silver https://www.johnlewis.com/panasonic...ivel-stand-ultra-hd-certified-silver/p3185782

The Sony is excellent but the Panasonic is exceptional. It supports watching 3D programmes and the hardware inside its panel is of the highest possible class.
Not a proven in what way? Im not up on TV tech at all at presentThe Sony has an external power supply brick and a lower-quality remote control.
The Edge-LED lighting on the Panasonic is not a problem and drawback.
http://www.trustedreviews.com/reviews/sony-kd-55xe9005There’s an inevitable loss of colour and contrast when viewed off-angle – but that’s the price you pay for not bagging the best seat in the house.

I'm not sure how the external power brick is really a problem, its easily hidden. The remote is more than adequate but thats nit picking.
The Panasonic has a peak light output (nit) of sub 500 which makes it struggle with HDR, where the Sony has almost 1000 which, whilst not up to the XE93, higher end QLEDs and OLEDs is at the price point very very good, and makes the likes of Alter Carbon in its dark scenes look outstanding.
and just for comparison...

I have a 4K TV without HDR support and it's perfect. HDR is just a marketing gimmick for the clueless.
Sub 500 nits is the maximum brightness level which you normally will never ever reach.
Actually, I decrease the brightness level manually in order to protect my eyes from bleeding.
