Been look at finally getting a new or newer TV.
Im still running an old 1080p panny VT50 plasma.

So I want a bigger screen and 4k, my Friend has a Panasonic TX-65DX902B 65" which is nice but not now available new!
So I know everything is oled now, but I have a kid that pauses TV for long periods, plus they are very expensive.

So realistically im looking for a modern TV thats not oled and performs at least as well as older
Panasonic TX-65DX902B 65" models.
Can anyone point me at a few that I can shortlist?
Thanks

Went into currys today. I have to say I was pretty impressed with the. I think this could be my next TV
SONY BRAVIA KD65XG9505BU 65"

The XF90 I mentioned to you is basically the same tv apart from the following.

1. new remote

2. new legs colour

3. new processor ultimate instead of extreme

4.eARC instead of ARC

5. less motion control settings in the menu compared to XF90 (downgrade)

and most important £300 normally more for that. Image quality is exactly the same.

Happy you went to see them first hand and I was sure you would like the Sony over the LG and Samsung offering coming from plasma. I would just get the XF90 and spend the £300 on a soundbar or some AV gear or 4K UHD player.

Yeah definitely looked nicer than the LG and it was next to a similar priced Qled and I thought the Sony definitely had a picture I preferred. They had 55" out and it did look very similar. They are the 2 on my shortlist. Now I just need to wait till there's a special offer on one of them as I do love a bargain lol

So I've still not pulled the trigger on a TV yet! Though with the recent price drops I'm keenly looking at the Sony KD65XG9505BU.

Bit of a curve ball, but how does the older panasonic TX-65DX902B TV stand up against the Sony? I know its a couple of years old, but have a m8 selling one at a reasonable price.

Thoughts please????

Decided to go for the sony xg9505 65" in the end after It came down to a reasonable price.
Arriving tomorrow!

Now can you spec me a decent soundbar for it that can be wall mounted above TV (as only space for it) that also won't annoy my neighbour too much
