£650 build inc shipping please

Hi, thought id best make a new thread. I transferred everything from a tiny oem Acer desktop into a new case changing only the PSU and GPU.

Anyway the spare PSU i had didnt work after installing and my friend managed to damage 1 stick of ram so he has decided to just build a new system from scratch.

He will need everything apart from the case and also a windows key as the one on his old case has faded to the point I cant make out the last 3 digits.

He would also like another HD 7870 Tahiti LE specking to go Xfire as he cat be bothered selling the one he has and going single gpu. It is VTX 3D HD 7870 Tahiti LE Black Edition 2GB so a compatible one please.

The budget is £650 inc shipping and thats the absolute max im afraid no leeway at all with that and possibly based around i5 3570k/Haswel i5

If not everything is within price range here at OCUK please still list in so i can search elsewhere.

If your friend can still fire up his PC, tell him to download and run Belarc. This will give him the Win 7 key and save him £80.

Great speck, I can get the GPU from a local shop I just found out, same vtx 3D
That i5 4430 is the same as i5 3570k? Can I OC it? Thats definitely something I will be doing. Is there a cheaper motherboard I can look at?

edit: Also, is 850w needed? Or would say 650-750w be okay? Really need to shave some penny's off the total.

The board can cater for dual gpu's, so if you fancy adding a second one in the future then your all set.

But the price of the XFX is excellent.

Could you remove the price of the gpu as this can be classed as competitor hinting and also is the card the 7870 version.

Yes the card is a 7870 tahiti le black edition 2gb He will be needing 2 pci-e as he will be going the xfire route just wanting see if that is the only board or any cheaper ones.

What about that i5 4430 can I OC with that? Or would i be better going with an i5 3570k
