Currently running a Corsair H100i in my 650D with in front 200mm fan as intake and a rear 140mm exhaust, with the 120mm fans on the H100i rad in the roof also as exhaust.
I'm wondering whether it might be beneficial to change the airflow direction if I switch to an NH-D15.
These are the two theoretical setups and I'll just call which we'll call negative (pressure) and positive:
Positive seems to have a few advantages - cool air feeding directly into the D15, and positive pressure means less dust build up.
The downside is that the 650D has been made to use front fan as intake, it's the only mount that's dust filtered so I would need to find a way of adding those to the rear and top. I'm also not sure what effect this will have on the overall internal temp as there's going to be less warm air being exhausted overall.
Does anyone have an opinion on whether the air coming from the top fan will have any negative effect on the throughflow of air with the D15?
Hope this makes sense to someone.
