Hi guys, just got my hands on a 650D, and I'm looking at it wondering, what colour L.E.D fans do I stick in here? Or do I just buy some cathodes?

The front intake and top intake are obviously 200m, but I was thinking of going for white fans, but can't find any!

Anybody got this case and got a nice colour scheme going on? Would love to see some pics to see what you've done. I'm not scrolling through the 'new case' gallery as I will be in there forever!

Can you even change the front 200m fan on them?

I have just bought some orange led 200mm fans to replace the stock ones. my front fan is making a horrible whiney noise. Even on low its audible. Is this the case for most, or just mine?

Ahh thanks for the info mate. I'll try to cut the plastic away from the front fan to see if that makes a difference for now. Looking forward to seeing the orange fans in their, just a shame the mobo is
blue! Will get some pics up when they arrive.

Seems that cutting the front grill off fixes the problem but other methods can be used as discussed in the thread.

Mine is still noisy... ish. I've sorta got used to it now. Might cut the grill out eventually.

Thanks for the link mate. For now I have stuck some extra rubber washers on the fan to move it away from the grill slightly. Has only made a very minor improvement so I think I'll have to buy a dremel and cut the whole thing off.

Just ordered a dremel from the rainforest site. Hopefully I'll have some updates in the next few days.

I'd like to see the result Sponge! I was tempted to get a dremel a few weeks ago from Wilko but didn't go for it in the end.

I was worried about making a bad job of it (have never used a dremel before). But even if you were to make a bad job of the cutting, I guess you could always get some rubber edging stuff to conceal it.

Yeah I've never used one before either:D It's behind the front panel/dust filter anyway so you won't be able to see it 99% of the time.

I just want this noise to stop! I usually keep my computer on all night whilst I sleep to download stuff, but their is no chance of that happening until I get my big tool on the job:)

Another question... have you managed to install a fan controller in the case? I have a Scythe Kaze Master and I can't get it to stay in place with the tool-less drive bays.

Installed a CM MegaFlow 200mm at the front yesterday. It seems to have reduced the noise by quite a bit.

I now think that it is the three 120mm Scythe GTs which are making the most noise.

I haven't had a chance to do any modding over the past few days. Like I said I got myself some Betfenix orange fans for it, and I'm going to dremel the front grill.

Will definitely get it done over the next couple of days, pics included:)

I'm looking at getting this case myself but have been put off by all the reports or horrible noise from the front fan. I too do not own and have never used a dremel so i'd really appreciate any picture guides to someone doing it :)

Tomorrow I'm going to tackle it mate. Never done it myself either:)

Little update, those Bitfenix orange led fans i bought, useless! The led's are about as bright as a 2 year old, and they can only be mounted as an exhaust. So only 1 at the top, and had to stick to the stock fan for the front for now.

The case cutting went well, will post pics later on.

After cutting:

Ignore the sharp edges, these will be filed down eventually. The noise has completely disappeared now! However, the noise of the movement of air is still quite noisy, so I recommend some very quiet fans.

Sorry for the delay but only just got the rubber edging. Not looking too bad I don't think compared to what it was with all those sharp edges.
