Hi all,

I am just asking around for advice on whether the 650w Antec TruePower New would be enough to power either an i5-760/i7-930 midly overclocked like around high 3.x, and also two GTX460s, as i will probably add one further down the line?

From what ive looked around at and read up on, it seems it will be fine, but apparently its good to leave a lot of headroom, but getting a modular and efficient PSu for around £60 for what it is, is amazing, espexially as it will almost cost me double to get a higher wattage.

Thanks :)

Thanks for the charts, spot on. Didnt stumble upon those.

Thanks for the quick replies everyone, further on from that,
which would be more recommended:

XFX P1-650X-NLG9 XXX 650W
or Antec True Power New 650W

Its about £10 more for the XFX after sale price for the Antec, which i dont really think is worth it IMO?

Thanks :)

I would go for the Antec, its a good Seasonic-based PSU, with 5 year warranty and 80 Plus Bronze. Bargain at the moment too! :)

Sorted cheers guys, Antec it is.

Im also thinking of buying now to be honest as prices are pretty low atm, also 4gb of 1600 ram (xms3) is like 50 quid!, so im thinking of buying a lot of my build now as i expect prices to go back up, especially after sandy bridge and people start to upgrade systems and stuff or will prices stay pretty low in january? - I think i might have to start another thread because im also still not sure on wheter to get an i5-760 or i7-930 or wait until the new sandy's hehe.

Thanks guys :)
