I'm getting myself a new rig soon but I carn't seem to decide which CPU to use.

I would overclock but out of the 6 pc's I've had none have overclocked or if they have the difference has been so small as not to be worth the effort.
I end up usually with having to reinstall windows which isn't any fun.

My current system won't even let my use optomised Bios settings without screwing up.

If I did get the 6700 will it overcklock aswell as the 6600 or better?

Thanks Guys I'll stick with the 6600 I think, my mate is building a new PC so I can see what he gets with his first.

I'm impressed by the 3.7 overclock but I'm never that lucky, I can wait a while well a month or maybe two but I do have the cash to hand now and I want a new toy.

I'm think my mate will have his new rig built in the next few days so I can can see if I like it and I'll see if I can get him to overclock it but like me he's never had much luck either.
He has all the parts but has to return the Motherboard to OCUK as he said it was broken in the box.

This is what he went for
Enermax Liberty 620W ELT620AWT ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU
Asus P5N32-E PLUS SLi nForce (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail
OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-6400 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series DDR2
Gainward BLISS GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail

The PSU may be different but it was an Enermax.
I would get the same as we tend to build the same rigs so we can test things when we have problems.
He is using a few old parts such as coolmaster case, HD's and DVD players, I would get a new case as then I would have enough parts to build a second PC even if I put the 1900xt in the new pc.
