The fan on my Gigabyte 6600GT is probably the noisiest in my system.

It cools quite well though and I can achieve a good OC with it.

I am not interested in upgrading the graphics but am interested in upgrading the cooling for a quieter option.

Any recommendations?

Is it agp or pcie?

Agp coolers are pretty limited due to differant layout of card.

I have a zalman vf700cu on mine (xpertvision) and its totally silent on low volt setting. On the high setting it does have a "whoosh" noise. I connect mine to fan controller.

You will need a hsi heatsink also if your stock one covers that too. Zalman make that also. Ram sinks probably wont fit without major major modification to them but ram gets cooled very well anyway by air from fan.
Got mine running at 600/1200 so cant complain!!

If its a pcie one then you choice is a lot wider. Cant comment on any other coolers though.

if its a pci-e card then get the arctic cooler, it exhausts the hot air out the case and its loads cheaper then the zalman too.

It's PCI-E.

All I am interested in is silence.

It needs to cool as well as the stock cooler but the more silent the better.
