Hi.
My mates 6600GT has gone belly up, and seeing as i havnt paid any attension to video cards for quite some time, i'd like to know whats the cheapest nVidia card that offers similar performance?
From that i know what cards i can tell him to look at.

Thanks in advance all. :).

i upgrading my 6600gt to a 7600gt a while back. Was a good increase. 7600gt's can be found on both AGP and PCI-E for good prices now. Note that the 7600gs is quite a bit slower than the GT

ive used a 7600gt and it was a good card but if you have to get a card now and want it on the cheapo for pcie then 8600gt is your best option. it has low heat output, low noise and very low power consumption. can;t go wrong at the 50 quid price point considering a 7600gs is hardly any cheaper than a 8600gt.
