6600gt running in pci mode :(

my grandads gfx card is running in PCI mode instead of AGP mode ....

its a XFX 6600GT
Asus K8N motherboard (Nforce 3 chipset)

ive installed the chipset drivers from the Asus disc - and got the drivers from Xfx - installed them

and it still says PCI mode - have uninstalled them - and installed them again...

what can I delete to set it up properly - it was working properly before....

there is a setting in the bios to change it

yep checked that - AGP is already selected.
Any other ideas?

Do I definately need to install the mobo drivers that come with the ASUS...

It installs Nvidia - Gart, Ethernet, IDE etc....
