6600GT to 6800GS?

Is a 6800GS a good upgrade over my overcliocked 6600GT, and will i get much improvement on my 3dmark '03 and '05 scores and see better stability in game play.
Will i be able to run quake 4 at max detail?
 
What sort of monitor do you have and what resolution do you use? Also if by max detail you mean the "Ultra" settings or whatever they are called then no, it is unlikely a 6800gs will cope because a 512mb graphics card is recommended and the rest of your PC might not be up to it either.
